It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, a resilient soldier, and an inspiring soul, Donald Higgins. Known fondly as Don to his friends and family, he departed this earthly life on March 20, 2024. A loving beacon of strength and positivity, Donald's spirit touched the lives of all those he encountered, leaving an indelible mark of his compassionate nature and thoughtful demeanor.

Donald was a pillar of resilience and courage, having served in the Army for eight years. His disciplined spirit was a testament to his dedication, not just as a soldier, but also as a family man. Married to his loving wife, Donna, their bond was a testament to the power of love and companionship. His love for his family, including his French bulldog Denali, was evident in all aspects of his life. His favorite band, Led Zeppelin, often served as the background score to many of their cherished moments together.

Donald's zest for life extended beyond his family and work. An avid golfer, a college basketball enthusiast, a hunter, a fly fisherman, and a frequent face at the local casino's blackjack table – he embraced life's simplicities and pleasures. His hobbies were a reflection of his adventurous spirit and his willingness to embrace every moment with fervor and joy. "For we walk by faith, not by sight," (2 Corinthians 5:7) was a verse Donald lived by, demonstrating his strong Christian faith and optimistic outlook on life.
